Full Circle Moments | A Virginia Beach Family Session - The Bevilacqua Family
Some stories are extra special to photograph — the ones that unfold over years, through different seasons of life. Rachel and Phil’s story is one of those for me.
I’ve had the joy of capturing so many of their milestones — from their engagement session at Pleasure House Point, to their intimate Manteo, NC wedding during Covid, to their baby announcement at 85th Street, and now, this sweet family session at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with their little girl, Carlie.
Rachel and Phil live up in Northern Virginia now, but they made the trip down for this session, and I’m so glad they did (it means more than you know). Virginia Beach holds so much meaning for them — from family vacations near the water to memories made during their time stationed here with the military. Phil’s originally from New Jersey (not far from where my family vacations every summer), and he’s currently training for the Marine Corps Marathon — which couldn’t be more fitting for him.
Rachel, now a photographer herself, has stepped beautifully into this new season of motherhood — balancing creativity, family, and full-time mom life with so much grace. Watching her and Phil love on baby Carlie during our session was such a full-circle moment, and they are hoping to receive orders back down here soon (I hope so too)!
We spent the evening at Pleasure House Point letting the session unfold naturally — walking in the fields, playing with Carlie, and catching up in between shots. It was an easy, relaxed session that felt more like time spent with friends than work, which is always my favorite kind.
If you’re dreaming of your own family session at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, now is the perfect time to book. Whether it’s your first session or your fifth, I’d love to help you capture the season you’re in — the one you’ll want to remember years from now.
