Caitlyn + Travis - Married in Colonial Place

Over the summer, one of my previous brides Katie reached out to me about her friend Caitlyn. She mentioned that COVID had thrown a wrench in her wedding plans (I mean…who hasn’t it destroyed plans for at this point) and that they had decided to go ahead and tie the knot in a small ceremony in the beginning of September.

As I pulled up to the wedding that afternoon, I was stunned at how beautiful the day was. The sky was completely clear and the breeze was blowing. You could tell that fall was just around the corner!

Caitlyn opted to do a first look with her parents instead of with Travis and I absolutely loved her dad’s expression!

The couple made gin & tonics which was the most original unity ceremony I’ve EVER seen! It was so original and hilarious to see Caitlyn’s reaction when it was a little strong!

Caitlyn’s sister was unable to attend the celebration, so her stand in maid of honor carried the cutest little cutout picture of her. It was such a special way to remember her and include her even though she was far away.

As you can tell, I had soooo much fun with Caitlyn’s veil. HOW GORGEOUS?!

Caitlyn’s father daughter dance song was “There Goes My Life” by Kenny Chesney and let me tell you - I CRIED. I actually tear up a lot of times during the parents dances because I put myself in their shoes twenty years from now!

Hope you enjoyed this sweet, beautiful, and golden elopement in Norfolk and thanks for reading along!
