Rachel & Kevin’s Historic Post Office Wedding
This classic-rock loving couple tied the knot in historic Hampton, VA back in July and they could not have asked for a better day.
Rachel grew up in Chesapeake, but moved out to Colorado and met Kevin out there. They fell in love, got engaged, and decided to plan their wedding back on the east coast, near Rachel’s family. When I asked them how they wanted their wedding to be described afterward, they said “classic” and I loved that. You can see through their gallery that their wedding was extremely classic. The Historic Post Office truly had the best backdrop for their fun and sentimental day.
The Post Office in Hampton has one of the best bridal suites around, and the groom’s getting ready room was just as nice. I were seriously blown away at how stunning and well-lit the rooms were. Rachel and her bridal party had so much room (and so much fun) while getting ready.
A lot of couples opt for a first touch instead of a first look, and Rachel and Kevin did just this!
I send all of my couples vow books from Lovestruck Lettering, and I really enjoy seeing how all of them choose to incorporate them into their day.
Rachel and Kevin wrote their vows to one another and exchanged them to read before the ceremony. They kept their ceremony vows traditional, but still were able to write their hearts out to each other beforehand.
Rachel and Kevin’s reception was probably one of those that I’ll remember for my entire life. While classic rock played, all of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate these two.
One of my (and most likely everyone’s) favorite moments was when one of their young guests dedicated “Love” by Nat King Cole to the couple.
Rachel and Kevin were incredible to work with. They trusted me to document their big day even though the first time we met was on their wedding day. They battled through COVID lockdowns, travel restrictions, gathering restrictions, and job uncertainty to hold one of the most memorable weddings of the year.
