Julianna & Joey | Lifestyle Newborn Session at Home
Julianna and Joey will always hold such a special place in my heart. They were my very first wedding clients—and since then, they’ve trusted me time and time again to document some of their most meaningful moments. To be chosen again and again like that is something I never take lightly. I truly feel so blessed to walk alongside families like theirs as their story grows.
This session was especially sweet because I finally got to meet the newest (and tiniest) member of the family—Ruby Grace. Ruby was only about three days old, fresh and brand new to the world. Julianna gave birth at home in a peaceful, beautifully planned homebirth, and in a full-circle moment, we even shared the same midwife this time around. Big sister Violet was there too, which made everything feel even more tender and complete.
Adding to the magic, Julianna and Joey had just moved into their new home a few weeks prior. And in true Julianna fashion, several rooms were already completely finished—gorgeous molding, wallpaper, and all the thoughtful details she is so incredibly skilled at bringing together. Her eye for design never fails to amaze me.
Their new home, especially the master bedroom, overlooks the river. I can only imagine how breathtaking that view must have been during labor and in those quiet moments just after birth—such a peaceful backdrop for welcoming new life.
I am so incredibly happy for this growing family and so honored to continue documenting their memories as they unfold. Welcome to the world, Ruby Grace 🤍
