Wintertime Couples Session - Virginia Beach

Guys, this day was cold. There’s just something that I love about going to the beach in winter time. It’s so serene and quiet, and super peaceful…but the reason it’s so calm is because it’s COLD and no one is there!

Fun fact: I remember Andrew texting me around Septemberish of 2015 asking me whether Maria liked Rose Gold or Silver better. I flipped out and sent him about 100 pictures from her pinterest. He then (so patiently!) let me know that he already had a ring design in mind, he just needed to know what her preferred metal was. EEK!

Just a few months later, they were engaged and planning their July wedding! Drew and I got married exactly 1 month before Maria and Andrew, and it’s been so fun to go through life and marriage with such good friends.

Back when I decided that I wanted to pursue photography on a professional level, they let me photograph them! They were SOO patient with me when I knew nothing about posing but wanted to practice and build my portfolio. So in exchange, I’ve basically been their photographer-for-life. :)

Last year, Andrew, Maria, Drew and I all spent St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland and it was INCREDIBLE! We have plans again for this year, but absolutely nothing compared to singing along to “Galway Girl” by Ed Sheeran IN GALWAY while strolling downtown. The weather in Ireland was much like this day - cool, overcast, a bit rainy, but so beautiful.

So cheers to good friends, amazing memories, Guinness Stew, and winter beach days. Hope you enjoyed these stunning pictures of the two of them!
