Jessie & Patrick - A Springtime Virginia Beach Proposal

Back in March, I had the HUGE honor of being able to shoot one of my close friend’s proposals! Her (now) fiance, Patrick, contacted me a few days before the big day, letting me know that he had a few surprises lined up for Jessie. One of those surprises was very small, and cute, and fluffy, and named Phin :)

I partnered with Holly Carter Photography who videoed the proposal, and we arrived early to meet up with Patrick and chat a bit with him while we got all set up!

Earlier in the week, Patrick had driven down to Raleigh, NC to pick the perfect puppy as a surprise for Jessie. They had been talking about getting a friend for their other fur baby, Copper!

When we were chatting with Patrick before the proposal, we asked how long he had wanted to marry Jessie. The answer he gave us made our hearts explode! Patrick said that he knew that she was the one for a LONG time, back since they were fresh out of college! He had just waited for the right time.

Patrick orchestrated the whole plan to bring Jessie to the Lotus Garden Park in Virginia Beach. One of their friends planned to meet Jessie there that afternoon in order to map out a good spot for a mini session. (Jessie is also a photographer and an amazing one! She was actually my mentor and again, SUCH a huge honor to have gotten to photograph this special event).

I’m so happy for these two and know that their wedding is going to be absolutely radiant and beautiful, with all the love that they have for each other!
