Rachel and Phil - Pleasure House Point Engagement Session
Rachel reached out to me last year after she got engaged, wanting to book me for her and Phil’s wedding. I totally didn’t expect the response that I got from her when I asked to set up the phone call. Typically after I receive an inquiry, I’ll send over my pricing guide and then offer couples the opportunity to set up a phone call to chat over expectations and needs before booking. Well…Rachel was ready. She asked if she had to wait for the call to book and these are her words:
“I knew right away that I wanted you for a photographer once I got engaged, literally such a huge fan of all of your work!!”
My heart, y’all.
I feel like when I’ve finally “made it” is when I get emails and texts like this.
Phil was on a hiatus from deployments when we took their engagement pictures, and is coming back in time for their wedding later this year!
If you can’t already tell from their photos…it was a gorgeous evening for their session. We rescheduled once because of the threat of bad weather and it was such a good decision to do so.
Coincidentally, Rachel’s 21st birthday was also the weekend of our make-up session and they wanted to bring a bottle of champagne to celebrate! That evening they were headed up to Northern Virginia to celebrate with Rachel’s family!
It’s truly always a tremendous honor getting to document this fun and exciting time of a couple’s relationship, and I’m so grateful that my and Rachel’s paths crossed online!
