Maternity Session in Virginia Beach | Chelsey + Jimmy’s Growing Family

It’s always a joy to photograph families during seasons of transition — and this session with Chelsey and Jimmy was no exception.

They’re expecting their third child, a baby girl, and I had the honor of capturing these sweet moments as they prepare to welcome her home. Their two boys, Milo and Gavin, brought so much life and laughter to the session, while Chelsey and Jimmy radiated calm, steady love.

This sweet family lives in a walkable little neighborhood in Norfolk, close to where Chelsey is completing her fellowship at CHKD (she’s pursuing sports psychiatry — so inspiring!), while Jimmy works as a programmer. They originally met in college and have been building their life.

Watching them interact — playful with their boys, gentle with one another, and full of anticipation for their daughter — was a reminder of why I love documenting these in-between moments.

I’m so excited for all that’s ahead for this family of (soon-to-be) five.
