Sandbridge Baby Announcement Session | Taylor + Sam

Taylor and Sam’s baby announcement session was one of those full-circle moments that makes this job so special.

We planned their session in Sandbridge that weekend since the Shamrock Marathon had taken over the oceanfront, and honestly—it couldn’t have been more perfect. Sandbridge always has a slower, more tucked-away feel, and it gave us the quiet, relaxed backdrop that fit this season of life for them so well.

These two are expecting their first baby after getting married just last year, and you can feel the excitement in every moment with them. There’s something so sweet about that in-between stage—still newly married, but stepping into something entirely new together.

Taylor originally found me through Madeline and Turner (past wedding and family session clients of mine), who also happen to be her sister-in-law and brother. She had fallen in love with Madeline’s sunrise photos and knew she wanted something with that same soft, glowy feel. It’s always such an honor when sessions inspire other sessions like that—it really is the best kind of referral.

Even more fun, both Taylor and Sam work with several of my other clients, and we spent part of our session laughing about how small the world feels when you’re from this area. Virginia Beach and Chesapeake have a way of weaving people together like that, and it makes sessions feel less like meeting strangers and more like catching up with friends.

The light that evening was soft and golden, the beach quiet, and everything just felt easy. It was the perfect way to celebrate such a big, beautiful season for them.
