The Barn at Gully Tavern Wedding - Lauren and Jeremy

Back in September I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to photograph a wedding at a relatively new venue in Virginia hill country. The Barn at Gully Tavern provided a gorgeous backdrop for this romantic navy-and-maroon falltime wedding, and I’m so grateful that…

Lauren and Jeremy picked the Barn for their venue. The property has multiple locations for portraits (in front of the barn, down by the lake, and up on the hill), and a great getting ready manor-style house that can easily host the entire bridal party. The barn itself is a stunning backdrop for the ceremony, but the lake really stuck out to me (and was where Lauren and Jeremy chose to host their ceremony). The owners were so kind and accommodating , and I can only hope I get to photograph another wedding there in the future.

Lauren and Jeremy did what I think all couples should do…a first look! They had so much extra time to take a deep breath, say a prayer together, and be able to enjoy their day without stress or nerves getting in the way.

Lauren is the youngest of her two sisters, and the final one to get married! I loved seeing the emotion that her sisters and parents held during the ceremony and reception, watching her get to marry the love of her life!

The barn doors opened up for the reception and we were able to enjoy the most incredible breeze throughout the evening.

If you’re a couple looking to get married, I highly recommend checking out the Barn at Gully Tavern. Not only was the venue extremely picturesque, but the owners were incredibly helpful and made the experience even better (if possible!). If you’re a wedding vendor and get the incredible opportunity to work at this venue, SAY YES!
