A Dream Repeat Client Session at 85th Street | The Wido Family
Some clients become more than just sessions on your calendar; they become part of your story. Steven and Camila are one of those families for me, and I am endlessly grateful for them.
They are one of my repeat clients who come back almost every year for photos. From their wedding, to a baby announcement, and now family photos three times over, getting to document their lives has been such a blessing. Truly, so grateful, so blessed.
Back when I was shooting weddings regularly, Steven and Camila were exactly the kind of clients I dreamed of working with. Young, Christian, fresh out of college (or even still in it…who cares!), starting life together. That season of life was one I deeply identified with, and working with couples like them felt so natural and life-giving.
That connection only grew over time.
Camila and I were pregnant with Nora and Keira at the exact same time, with due dates just days apart. Sharing pregnancy, milestones, and motherhood together made that season incredibly special—and now, seeing our girls grow up side by side is something I’ll always treasure.
What’s even sweeter is how similar Nora and Keira are. Watching their personalities develop has been such a joy.
Steven and Camila’s family is hands-down one of the easiest families to photograph. They are always laughing, always smiling, and completely at ease together. It’s honestly hard to get a bad photo of them.
Nora is so sweet and such a good listener. Cami is absolutely modelesque—effortlessly beautiful in front of the camera. Steven just glows. You can tell instantly how deeply he adores his family, and that love shows up in every single frame.
It’s truly a blessing to get to work with families like this.
This year’s session was extra special because baby Lorenzo joined the family. After seeing him and how much of a twin he is to Camila, it really hit me how much Nora favors Steven. Watching family resemblances unfold is one of my favorite parts of being a family photographer—it’s such a quiet, beautiful reminder of connection.
This session took place during one of the prettiest evenings of the year at 85th Street Dunes. The soft fall light, the breeze off the lake, and the natural dunes made the perfect backdrop for this growing family.
Steven and Camila actually travel down from Alexandria every fall, and they usually time their visit to catch the air show, which has become such a sweet annual tradition for them. Ending the day with a sunset family session at the dunes felt like the perfect way to slow down and soak it all in.
Sessions like this are the reason I love what I do. Getting to walk alongside families through weddings, pregnancies, newborn days, and growing children is such an honor. Steven and Camila remind me why relationship-driven photography matters so much, and why telling real, joy-filled stories will always be at the heart of my work.
If you’re looking for a family photographer who values connection, laughter, and meaningful moments, I’d love to work with you.
