Alexander and Delaney, Colonial Williamsburg Engagement
Okay I just spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to write a funny coronavirus haiku, and really struggled with the last line, and then decided I could probably be getting more stuff done if I just moved on. BUT IT WAS ALMOST SO GOOD! It was going to say that this coronavirus has really messed us all up, but Delaney and Alexander ROCKED their engagement session and the changing plans regardless. But as you can see, that was super hard to condense into haiku form.
These two started dating years ago in high school. After graduation, Delaney opted to attend CNU (captains for life!!!) while Alexander was just 30 minutes away at William & Mary. It’s pretty clear that they’ve known marriage was on the horizon for a while, and Alexander popped the question back in early December. They will be tying the knot in August at the Historic Post Office. While I won’t be photographing their wedding (they are working with the incredible Courtney Timms), I had the wonderful opportunity to be able to capture some special engagement-season portraits for them. The COVID travel restrictions threw a kink in their plans, and Delaney had her heart on their pictures including some fresh springtime blooms!
Fun fact: Delaney and Alexander actually were in the same grade as my brother Mark, while he was at NCS, and Delaney’s mom Lisa was my daughter’s Sunday School teacher last year. Enjoy checking out their glowy, golden, and simply sweet engagement portraits.
