Amber & Michael, Colonial Williamsburg Couples Session
A few months ago, Amber and Michael had booked me to take some updated couples portraits of them! We had originally scheduled last September to do their pictures but life, weather, and Michael’s job schedule pushed us back a few times. I’m so grateful that despite all the moving parts, we were able to make this day happen!
We started at their BEAUTIFULLY decorated home (Amber spends a lot of time working on house and DIY projects while Michael is traveling for work) and I finally got to meet Emmy - their adorable black cat. In case you didn’t know, I have an obsession for black cats! I think they’re so cute and I actually have two!
After a little while of hanging inside, we decided the weather would hopefully last for us to head to Colonial Williamsburg for some breezy springtime landscape. Because this was right at the verrry beginning of when the COVID19 pandemic began affecting our area, most places were closed down but allowing for outdoor activities!
Amber’s family owns a commercial pool company [side note: my husband Drew owns Bayside Pool Co. in Virginia Beach] so we had plenty to chat about, and her company worked with the Williamsburg Inn!
She knew that they had been closed, and that we’d be able to go capture some portraits in under the archway near the spa that was covered in Wisteria!
Finally, we stopped by a few cute little restored homes in the colonial area.
After having to reschedule so many times, this morning ended up being the absolute perfect day for their session.
