Gina + Anthony | Virginia Beach Maternity Session

There’s something really special about babymoon sessions—the anticipation, the quiet excitement, and the intentional slowing down before everything changes in the best way. Gina and Anthony’s session was exactly that.

Traveling all the way from Ohio for a long weekend, they made the most of their time in Virginia Beach by keeping things simple and relaxed. Even though the weather leaned a little chilly, the atmosphere was peaceful, calm, and honestly perfect for soaking in this season of life together.

Gina, a physical therapist, and Anthony, who works in law enforcement, share such a grounded, steady presence. You can tell they’re deeply connected—not just to each other, but to their values, their future, and their growing family. One of my favorite parts of our time together was hearing about the baby names they’re considering. With their strong Italian heritage, the names they’re drawn to are meaningful, timeless, and such a beautiful way to honor where they come from. I absolutely loved that (and definitely relate!).

Even within a quick 30-minute mini session, we were able to capture so much variety—soft moments, joyful ones, and everything in between. Their final gallery included over 75 images, and they selected their top 35 favorites, which felt like the perfect reflection of their story.

I also got a chance to meet their first baby - Ruger! He was soooooo well behaved, chill, and sweet!

Sessions like this are such a reminder of why I love what I do. Being invited into these milestone moments—this in-between season of waiting, dreaming, and becoming—is something I never take for granted.
