Wido Family

I have a lot of loyal clients. But I have a few ultra-loyal clients. Clients who I actually have lost count of the amount of sessions/events we’ve had together. Do you know grateful that makes me feel?!? Really, really grateful.

Cami and Steven were my first COVID (did I just doom my blog to censorship or are we past that now?) wedding. Before their May 2020 wedding we hadn’t actually met, but the day was one to remember. From quick pivoting plans, to Tornado warnings, to an unintentionally candlit dinner, theirs was truly one to remember.

Fast forward about five years and now the Widos have come down to Virginia Beach frequently for the Blue Angels Airshow several times. One of those times included a gorgeous maternity session, and the rest were family sessions.

Cami and I found out we were pregnant within days of one another, so it was funny at her maternity session to chat about all things pregnancy / due dates / birth plans. Nora and Keira are days apart and it’s really sweet whenever I get to take their photos because Nora’s joyful little spirit reminds me a lot of Keira as well!

These photos were taken in the falltime a few years ago at the Oceanfront and I truly am always left in awe of how gorgeous it is down there in the autumn months. The grasses get all fluffy and whispy, the air feels really still and calm, and the water looks deceptively refreshing (it’s probably actually very cold but I don’t normally put my feet in past September!) Even once “golden hour” is over, there’s this soft stillness of the evening and that’s when some of the best photos really do come to life.

Want to experience the gorgeousness of a Virginia Beach Oceanfront fall photo session? Let’s talk!
